I hope that everyone who comes to this site finds something here to help them maintain their positive mental state, and that in turn helps people feel and become better. If anybody would like to submit their story, and how they are coping with the situation please, please do so. I would hope that I could post every story, as there is strength and comfort in numbers.

You can email me at webmaster@positivecancer.com , and I look forward to hearing from you.

Why A Website?

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

I have friends, yes it’s true, and these friends are wondering why? Why, with all the things I have to do, would I want to take time out to create a website. Well that’s a good question.
Firstly I wanted to get things off my chest, and I know that my story will help people, as will any form of positive advice I can give. I’m not a doctor, I don’t give medical advice and I always, always implore you to talk to your physician. I can, however, talk to you as someone who is there, not just been there, but is currently fighting cancer. I have made remarkable strides in my quality of life, and this is crucial for anyone who wants to keep a normal life, even when facing the odds of death.
Secondly, I wanted to leave something for my wife, a website or series of websites that she and the kids could live on in order to continue their standards of living. My greatest fear is that my cancer will ruin both my kids, and my wife’s future, and so this is helping to allay these fears.
Thirdly, I like to talk, and talk, and talk, and sometimes, I listen. So it seemed like a natural thing for me to do this, and to hopefully get feedback from people.
I have, in keeping with the second reason, placed a donation button on the top of the page. If you find Positive Cancer helpful, I am not adverse to you donating to me. If you are financially dealing with Cancer in such a way that you have little income, or that you are on disability as such is my case, feel no need, nor any urge, and especially not guilt over not contributing. Just feel better!!
